All have their upsand downs. I love Regals, but I hate the sweeping wheelwell openings. And in some angles they tend to look too boxy. I tend to dislike the Cutlass due to the cheapy plastic fillers by the bumpers that look like they're held on with velcro. That and trying to duplicate the body lines of the 70's model doesn't translate well in my opnion. The sweeps on the bumpers just don't do it for me. I love the body lines of a Monte SS, but the nose just looks like it was thought out at the last minute (it could've been done better in other words). Wow, all that negativity, but I'm still a proud G-Body owner, LOL. I can't really comment on the GP cause I don't see too many of them. Like I said, in my opinion, each has their goods and bads, but that could be said for any vehicle ever made. Anything can be improved on with a little thought and planning. I've seen a Cutlass that looks 100% badass in all black, because it adds positives that take away from the negatives (the one in someones sig with the chick leaning on it). It could be easily mistaken for a Gran National if you're not paying attention. And I'll chime in on that FE3X... that look was cool in the 80's and all, but sorry... ground effects are out this year, LOL. It's reminiscent of all those S10 Blazers with the Testarossa ground effects... :puke:

I always like the 78-80 Monte Carlos...........Then followed by the 81-88 Monte's.............I may be partial to them as my first street rod was a '79 Monte 8)

IMO I cant pick one car because I like certain aspects of each.

For example I think the Cutlass has the best nose with the "shovel nose". Its also the shortest nose from wheel well to front bumper which is what erks me about monte carlo SSes.

Now the Regal/GN has the best *ss of all g bodys BUT I do also like the Monte SS rear. I think my issue with the *ss of the Olds is the way it wraps the top of the quarter and has no flip spoiler but I plan to fix that.

Hands down the Monte SS has the best lines going down the side.

On this topic I think the Malibu is in a class of its own. It has a completely different more retro body style than the other coupe Gbodys. I'd love to have a blue Malibu with a black full vinyl roof like a 70 Nova :D

I always thought the G-body I ordered new and sold in '06 was a contender. But then we all like our own taste, don't we? LOL

I'm slightly biased - I think the front of my 82 GMC with its grills on the headlights looks bad a$$. (must have the light grills for the pickup effect) Although if I had never owned it I would have to lean towards the Regal front end or even the GP front end.
This is just from looking at the fronts.

IMO, The basic Gbody cutlass and regals look a bit more refined and classy. The MC and the GPs look more racier. But the high performance models of all of them are just plain cool. I think the lines of the 78 MC are really nice from the profile and rear. If I had to pick just one .... Id probably go with the 86 H/O t-top black and silver...because I love OLDSMOBILES!
