you trust a photo that much?
No, stating the observation. I'm trying to ensure I have everything I need in boxes for the front end fix. I'd rather have extra parts that could work than not what I need once it comes apart.

My truck is a freak, so I'm used to ordering oddball parts and returning what won't work.

Coolant hoses are the next hurdle after I clearance the radiator mount the "builder" welded in.

I've searched both (s10 and malibu) and read several threads. Just find it odd that no-one seems to sell loaded front lower arms.

If you are running 17" or larger front wheels I personally would forget about "loaded" Lowers. There are real advantages in steering and handling by adding Tall lower ball joints and they are only about $15 more that std length. To replace the lower ball joints, every chain autoparts store will loan the tool for free.

Do the taller ball joints require modification of the arm?

they do not require any modification, just an fyi they do lower the car about half an inch.

Which brand of the taller lower bj has a proven track record here?

I was suggesting that to figure out if they are the same. Installing ball joints is an easy job and the tool to install ball joints are available to rent

Lower ball joints lower the car the amount they are longer.

There is .1 .2 .3 .4 .5 .75 and 1" longer lowers available.

Press right in.
