I was pushing Richard Holdner on FakeBalls to start looking at MAF/air mass and back pressure as a tell. It was lost on him. This is also why I spent so much time on the exhaust side of my Monte porting everything from the valve seat back to the turbine inlet... and obviously using a 4" exhaust system. It was by design, it was deliberate - despite being a budget build.
He has some really good diff cover videos as well. Needless to say, OEMs know what they're doing.
