something else to look at is the height of the cage to the lower beveled edge of the heater box, get it as close as possible without rubbing on heater box. If cage is set high it will just bleed air off from under the cage and recirculate it thru the blades again.

I'm rebuilding my Heater/AC Box and replacing parts at the same time. Watching this unfold with interest

I'm definitely willing to give it a try. I forgot. Are these available at any parts store? I have noticed that the G-body fan does not blow a whole lot of air at high speed.

Would the metal fan itself make a difference, or would it be with the new truck blower motor? https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...5602/5014654-P?searchTerm=blower+motor+wheels

I also noticed it indicates counter-clockwise. Is this the proper rotation?
Thanks John.

i used the vdo gbody motor and the metal fan that i posted which is made for a gbody

After looking at Autozone, there are 2 Blower Motors (cage included) for a G-Body. I put in: [87 Cutlass Supreme 5.0L]

I got the Four Seasons #35334 and VDO PM140. Both state they are Clockwise rotation.

As for cages:
The Four Seasons #35601 Metal Cage (Rockauto says Galvanized Steel, Autozone says Aluminum) (Clockwise)

I looked at the BW9301 Metal Cage (Counter Clockwise). It states it's compatible with PM105, PM111, PM121, PM240, PM285, PM285, PM360. The PM105 is the replacement blower sans cage (listed as Clockwise).

I think the BW9301 may be labeled wrong, as every other thing (Blower Motor Complete, Blower Motor No Cage, Cage Alone) is listed as clockwise.

I actually have the Four Seasons 35334 at home in a box. I'll have to check out the cage on that tonight.
