Brakes shutting car down

As far as I know there is only 2 purple wires, one goes to the S terminal on the starter solenoid and the other goes to the diagnostic connector. I think you need to find where that purple wire is going. If you want a quick cure put a jumper between the pink/black and purple wire.

Yeah, Unplug the TCC lock up plug from the brake and jumper it... An no just don't randomly ground wires.

The radio area wires look like radio related wires. Fold them over and tape them off.

What do you mean "jumper it"??... I tested those 3 wires loose by the radio and they are ground... what should I do with them??? Thanks for the input

I mean jump the pink/black and purple wires with a 3rd wire so that the purple wire will be powered by the pink/black wire when you have the brakes on.....

Unplug the connector from the brake pedal. make a piece of 10-12 gage wire go from one wire on the plug go to the other wire of the plug (think of a paper clip jumper - but don't use a paperclip because the wires are hot).

Once you put in the jumper wire, verify the car still starts/runs, The wrap the jumper in electrical tape then stick it up under the dash and tape it to something so it doesn't fall down then forget about it.

As for the radio wires, if they are grounded, you don't need to ground them. Just tape them off so they don't ground something accidentally.

What appears to have happened is you have re-used the hot wire that locks the TCC solenoid to power something that keeps the car running... Like an MSD box or something like that.

Pressing the brake pedal kills power to the TCC (but now apparently kills power to whatever is keeping your motor running).

Thanks guys will do Tommorow morning... hopefully this will b the end of this... I love this site u guys always help me out [emoji817]

So, the actual fix would be to go after that circuit, but I don't see a whole lot of troubleshooting going on from the OP. It looks more like staring and wondering. Another question: why would it start all of a sudden? If the TCC switch is the problem, how did it just start? It would have been there when the computer was removed.

The TCC switch is causing the car to shut off. He unplugged it and the car wouldn't run. He plugged it in and the car runs.

Someone has obviously wired something important to the TCC wire that they shouldn't have. They looked for a hot wire, found a hot wire, wired something to it and didn't realize it goes cold when you hit the brakes.

Finding what is shutting off is secondary to keeping it on.

Looking at this plug IMO it does not look like GM factory plug. I think the plug and switch has something to do with the alarm the op said that was in his car.
