Bucket seats for 79 Malibu

What Kevin is offering sounds like a win-win situation. You'll have all the parts at your disposal to do the bucket/ console change over. It's not a difficult job. I've done it to my wagon.
If you ask nicely, he'll more than likely provide the inner floor mounts. It certainly beats having to chase down every individual part. I had to find all my parts individually, and it takes time to chase everything down.

Ask anyone, Kevin is one of the most stand-up people you'll ever have the opportunity to deal with. I can certainly vouch for his character, and so can anyone who's
ever dealt with him. He's a true enthusiast and enjoys helping other car guys.

Just got a set of buckets from a late 90's early 2000's Cavalier on the weekend for my car, should going in with very little fab work. Outer bolt holes are so close. put the rear bolt in, just have to drill a hole for the front and a 1/2- 3/4" rise on the inside.

Thanks for the kind words Jack...however I am going to have to step back on this one for awhile...after posting yesterday morning, my father was taken to the emergency and has been in the hospital since. I've not been home much in the last couple of days and have most everything on hold for a bit. Hopefully things will turn out good and I'll be back at it as soon as I can.

Kevin,
I'm sorry to hear the news. I hope he's doing well, and that his treatments are going favorably.
I'll certainly keep a good thought and prayer for his speedy recovery.

It can be a little bit of work...but not terrible. I was actually going to mention the other things associated with the swap yesterday maybe I should have. One thing to consider is that if I can pick up this car I'd have everything you'd need. Whether seats are right color or not is another thing....console can be painted pretty easy. Choice is yours of course.

Hi O.D. Showtime, I am new to the site and just came across your post, At an age of over 50, I have has quite a few Malibus, Montes, Reagls, Grand Prixs and a couple of Grand Prix 2+2's some years back and as a guy that never had a lot of money-(but you never needed much back then) Now I am chasing the fountain of youth and just was able to purchase a similar 1980 Malibu to my all time forever car that I was forced to part with 20 years ago, I see you may have a burgundy bucket/floor shift interior for sale, please let me know if it is available and what it might cost to take it off your hands, I look foreword to your reply. Thanks Bill

Hi Bill

Good to hear you picked up a Malibu that's going to take you back a few years! The car I pictured was one I parted out many years ago...the one I mentioned that I might try and pick up...sadly I've not contacted the fellow that owns it, but perhaps it's time I do. On another note I'm not sure it's feasible cost wise to ship an interior to the US out of Canada? I guess first I'd have to acquire the car and then see from there.

Kevin
