I'm watching an ad of a 1981 Regal Somerset II with the 3.8 V6 with a whopping 110 hp.

The car looks very unique with two tone brown and matching interior.

53,000 kms and 3 owners (guy bought it new, passed down to son who stored it and this guy had it for a few years).

He's asking $4000. All original and no mods. Doesn't have the manuals.

Just wondering if there is a story about this vehicle and what could be special. I tried searching, but nothing really special to make it stand out.

To me it looks like it needs rescuing, but I'd also rather hold out for that ideal Olds Cutlass Supreme with a V8 and T-Tops.

Does $40000 mean $400.00 or $40,000?

It was just a marketing trim.

For $40,000 run far and fast away.

For $4000 they're nice and well worth it if in nice condition.

$40,000 Is 1981 Porsche 911SC money, not 1981 grandma regal money. Are the people that post these ads really that clueless?

Sounds like a $4,000 car, max. Max. A zero mile one with plastic on the seats and window sticker in the window wouldn't sell for over $12K in today's market or ever.

Shame. These botards think something is valuable because it's rare. No non turbo G body is worth much over 20k, let alone an 81 tri tone turd brown brick. He'll figure out damn quick it's not worth double what a decent GN or nice T is worth.

I did donuts in my buddy's mom's Somerset while he had his dad's F150 on their tree farm. He popped the power steering belt on the truck, and his folks came home early from vacation and busted us while we were fixing it. D'oh!!
