85CutalssBrogham;

Again we are at the same place. All I have left to do on mine is the door jambs, and replace the rear bumper, but I still have to prep my header panel. I am trying to paint mine Sunday (more likely will be early next week, but I am trying to make Sunday). I'd challenge you to a race, but I have missed every deadline I have given myself so far (I was originally trying to paint it last year). Hard to believe I am a scheduler for a living.

Good luck on yours.

Mine was supposed to be done last November...lol. Then it was the end of May, end of June, end of July ( close on that one). I have to be done soon or I will not have it painted by the start of school, and I still have a roof to fix before then too.

Well, rain kept me from finishing my prep this week. Plus, my canopy broke taking away my shade that had allowed me to work on it in the day time. Now, I need to finish the car for next week and try to JB weld the broken plastic.

Well I am in the same spot. I was delayed for other reasons but my final prep will hopefully be done this week and paint next week.

Was your car damaged when your canopy broke? I have had an extra week of work fixing damage to my doors (little dings but I am being picky) from when mine collapsed last winter.

The car was not under it when it broke, which is why it broke. I usually bungee it to the car to tension the tarp tight. Unfortunately, without the bungees, the tarp made a pocket that trapped water and the weight snapped the holders for the top bows. I just epoxied them and hope it will be usable tomorrow. I had the car out from under it so that I would have shade to prep the mirrors, header panel, etc. I rescheduled the booth for next Monday, and hope to have it all done by then. The rain chances are lower this week than last, so hopefully I will be able to complete it.

i keep checkin into the site basically to check into your build! i can't wait to see it painted

The JB Weld/Fiberglass mesh composite repair of the plastic bow stays seems to have worked, so I guess I will work on it again starting at around midnight tonight. I hope I finish it this week, because I am about out of patience to get it done.

AAAARG!!!!!!! I do not have the shell ready to spray, but I was going to paint the hood, header panel, fenders, bumper covers and rear filler panel but I can't get in contact with the shop I was renting the booth from! I am supposed to go there this afternoon, but it is 25 miles away, and I don't want to drive there with my truck and my dad's truck full of parts to spray if I will just have to turn around and go home. This is so damn frustrating! I was going to finish the shell tomorrow ( I have a few spots in the jambs to finish, and I have to partially assemble the car so I can drive it to the booth) and do it next Monday, but if I can't get to the booth it ruins my plans.

Well, no pics today because I did not get to spray the parts. I will, however, spray them tomorrow so there should be pics up by 2am Wednesday, if not late on Tuesday.

Paint!!!!! Finally some paint on the car, or at least some of it's parts. I painted the hood, fenders, header panel and trunk to back window filler panel tonight. I just finished and am sitting in a wifi hotspot posting this as I wait for the clear to dry so I can take the parts home. Of course, I do have pics. However, I forgot the camera cable so I can't upload them.

And Yes, I know :worthless:
