Here in Montreal it was $1.33 for 87 regular fuel this week.

$1.33 a Gallon, eh?

It hasn't been under $2.00 Gallon here in Texas for months.

I thought you guys mined the stuff?

We could probably have "Free Healthcare" too if $3 of every gallon of gas sold went to the government. Our natural instinct to screw the government out of tax money would take over, Elon Musk would become a trillionaire selling electric cars and the government would end up making less money off the gas tax than before they raised it.

First off, our health care in Saskatchewan is quite good. I went through some very expensive testing a few years back. You know how much it cost me, 0 dollars. My problem is the abuse of our health care system by people just wanting attention, free daily care and drugs. Along with poor management and union rules, it makes for challenges for the system to be ran properly. My Wife is a Nurse and a darn good one, she sees too much. There are challenges to living in Canada but it really is a great country to live in. Maybe because my Father was a proud Canadian, an old time left winger who loved people like Tommy Douglas challenging the status quo and trying make life better for everyone, not just the rich and privileged. I love how our American friends are so patriotic, yet so paranoid that their government is going to screw them. Our government has been screwing us for years, we just hope the replacement every few years will be more gental then the last and take it in stride:).

Actually thats not quite right.
He means that is $ 1.33 a litre,not a gallon.
There are 3.785 litres to one US gallon.
That works out to $ 5.00 CDN a gallon,or almost $ 4.00 US a gallon.
Almost double what you are paying !!

Thank you for correcting my math. My bad

It was up to $1.38/litre this morning. Our regular, non-colusive (did I say that right) Tuesday price rape.
