I hate UPS.

It's okay - just found out that they lost my wife's custom bumper today. 175lbs of steel - gone. Poof! Just like that. 2 week lead time on a replacement.

Well, I'm pretty lucky. Since my dad is a long haul truck driver, he picks up parts for me. Since he spends more then 3 days in the US he can bring back up to 800cad worth of goods duty free. Another thing is that you don't pay duties on used parts, so if you can get someone with a tattered box who is willing to write you a soft receipt to say your new part is "used" then you pay no duties at the border.

Have you thought about giving up the Canadian medical system?

what medical system? It's a socialist scam that doesn't work...

"That high price paints the long wait times and lack of medical technologies in Canada in a very different light. In 2013, a typical Canadian family of four can expect to pay $11,320 for public health care insurance. For the average family of two parents with one child that bill will be $10,989, and for the average family of two adults (without children) the bill comes to $11,381."

Just got back from the States. $2750 US in parts, $90 US paid to our logistic holding company, $7 CDN in tolls, gas/wear and tear, and $460 CDN in taxes. Oh and 4 hours round trip.
