If there is no residual pressure in the rear line then the shoes will retract too much leaving you no brake pedal when you hit the brakes. The proportional valve has a valve to hold a few of pounds of pressure in the rear line to prevent the springs from retracting the shoes too much so if you convert the rear brakes to disk the residual pressure will cause the pads not to retract and will be dragging. You need to change the proportional valve when you do the conversion to rear disk.
Now do you use an aftermarket valve, disc/disc valve, or disc/drum valve with this and the LS1 front setup? I think a couple places recomend either of the 3...

I think it would make more sense to use a disc/disc prop. Valve. If I'm wrong someone please correct me cause I don't wanna point someone in the wrong direction lol

if it's a disk/disk then you can't use a valve to hold residual pressure. I'm getting a disk/disk with the adjustable bias since I want to be able to control the bias for my set up and car. The closed proportional valve set up for any particular car may not be correct for my car since the master may be different, the front to back weight of the car may be different and the geometry of the car is different.
