here's my deal... I remember another thread you said you've hit 160 mph and the car began to get scary. you have a mid .450 lift cam that wont rev past 7k. and your claiming your tach is right and you rev to 8500 WITH EASE.
The car got scary at that point because the front end had not been rebuilt yet. I'm not saying you guys have to believe me, but I know damn well everything was dialed in right. And yes, that cam can rev past 7000, and I'll bet my malibu and roadrunner on that. I'm not about to rebuild the motor to what it was 4 years ago just to prove a point. And I will stick with the car hitting past 160 on more than one occassion and I'll contact the police officer that pulled me over and told me that I was over 150.
I just said wow thats a lot of revs the only thing that keeps me from thinking that you did is that I've owned that cam and don't remember it being that rev happy but everything is different. And that one part where you said 8500 rpm was only 110-115. What does that make 160 at? 16,000? haha.
Last time I wound a 350 sbc to 6.5k, the water pump shaft fragged and launched the fan into the radiator, destroying my shroud along with it
I was young and it was a crap engine anyway. That was with a Th350 and 3.73's too. It was like riding a buzzbomb past 75mph.
