Wow talk about fast shipping...I literally just ordered this the other day!!

Well now time for the floor pan install. I plan on posting some pictures of how I will do it and since I am new at this.....lol just kidding. Anyways a nice project to do with my son but he just had surgery on his knee to repair it from a football injury he got. So I guess it's just me and the dog.

So...
Its been awhile...
But I haven't forgotten about you guys...
We all know how life gets in the way? Kids? Bills? Needing a motor built costs money and being a normal working guy well... it took a minute.. but guess what?

My motor is done! I had the 406 sbc that was in the car rebuilt by Jensen Engine Technologies in Nescopeck pa.

Andy Jensen is a hell of a guy and he got this old iron headed sbc hit the goal I wanted for the money and time it took i am happy!
Numbers are 500hp 550tq.
So now the fun part. I have been buying lots of other parts needed to build a car as well as some work. I will update and post more pictures soon.

and i should mention i didnt use any of the forged parts i listed earlier. This build was done using casted steel scat crank, scat rods (arp bolts), and some good forged flat tops. Heads were ported and polished, cc'd,flowed and all that goodness.
New 1.5 roller rockes, new studs n guides, new lifters, pushrods, cam, valve springs, oil pump, harmonic balancer, flywheel. Rotating assembly was balanced neutral. New 750hp carb. Plus all arp hardware. And how cam I forget the msd distribution of HOT SPARK! stuff.
Parts reused was the
old holley street dominator intake,
Billet timing chain set
Worlds products iron heads
406 sbc block
Valve covers (powdercoated wrinkle black)
Oil pan 7 qts (wrinkle black p.c.)
Timing cover and air cleaner (wrinkle black p.c.)

Slowly but surely...oh what about all the forged parts? Well thats being sit aside for now. But i will get back on that motor. Maybe for this car or maybe for another gbody.

A long time ago I worked for a guy who taught me how to be a machinist. He told me if they make something to just buy it because the time u spend making it u could have brought it and done something else.... this proves I should have listened. Just because I have a machine shop doesn't mean I can just make something and make it quick. But it will look good on my motor

Updates!!!

1st off if you want a tubular radiator support then buy one from Trick Chassis!

They have thier act TOGETHER!!!
I placed my order and in 3days it was at my door step.
Thats alot better then the 6week ordeal I went thru with another company who from week one lied. I hate calling people out but 6 weeks of this mess.

i was told it was shipped. It wasnt.
Finally I received it. And it didn't bolt in... at all.
When I sent messages I was told it was my car. So a half hr video and lots of pictures I was told he gave up and he would refund my money which took 2days. I placed my order with
Trick Chassis and BAM!! it was there 3 days later! Not built to order but in stock and ready to ship! With stickers!
They offer lots of adjustability and I honestly like the design alot better. I have it in for mock up. Still working out how I will mount the radiator, trans cooler, powersteering cooler, header support brackets and the hood pins.

I also cut the ends and center out of the front bumper. There went some unnecessary weight..

The Cutlass went on a diet. Lost the
heater/ac
Brake booster
Bumper support
Bumper shocks
Radiator support
Almost all of the interior

Gotta make the Cutlass a bit lighter.... new rollcage and frame bracing coming soon!!

Also guys email UMI
Ask them to make
aluminum body bushings
Tubular transmission cross member
Center frame support kit

They will make these parts if we bug them... how do you guys think the front tubular frame brace got made?
Here are some crappy pics

and I almost forgot my son and I went to Carlisle this weekend and got a new set of rear wheels to replace my 17x8 2354517's..
with 18x9 with 275 45 18 nitto's...
