how come your reusing the tty head bolts? just wondering cause i am doing a lm7 build right now and it seems to be getting nickle and dimed right now

Exactly why - $. There is nothing cheap about building an engine, just different budgets.

It is a falicy that TTY bolts are one time use. They are actually good for a few cycles before stretching past their prime. In a boosted application I normally run TTY bolts (even when new) down an extra 20° on the final pass.

I do have a set of ARP studs here if things get ugly... but, I am saving those (and some other bits) for the 4.8L which should be here in a few days.

A theory without experiment is like a painter without sight, but an experiment with no theory is just a 4 year old with paint.
 
There is a port on the driver side of block adjacent to the oil pump. There is a tool you thread into and pump oil through the engine to pump up the top end, bearings, etc.
I know. Just curious if he did it. Seems like a pretty particular guy, who happens to do things properly and meticulously.
