Guy that does drag weekend with me has boom tubes on his 70ish nova that he 4 linked. No room to put exhaust out the back and he didn't want downturns so he went out the side. Needed something thin hence the boom tubes.

He just cut a 1 3/4 or 2" pipe in half, welded a plate between the halves and put a few vertical supports in and then connected it to the pipes that come off the muffler. He did it with his dad in his dad's garage at like 18 so I'm confident you can do it 😉

More of the same. But, also the last of it.

It is actually a relief to have achieved this milestone. I can start getting back to doing the things I enjoy with cars. Which usually involves going fast.

But, often ends with me on fire.

Need a spare 3" muffler? I can part with this bad boy, it'll tone it down as much as the turbo. Lol

Comes with a V Band.

Unfortunately 3" is a little small for my needs. But, thanks for the offer. I measured up the cat-hole and I can fit a 10" bodied muffler in the space available. So that's what I am aiming for. I might be able to relocate the existing muffler in this location, and just reuse that. Otherwise I am into another $100 stainless bullet muffler...

In other news, these just showed up:

Time to get low... and restore suspension travel.

You shouldn't leave these kinds of zingers open for me.... Even I'm smart enough to throw an "thats what said" at it.

Anyway, You must be sticking with a 4" tube? No cut out?

It is a little hard for me to satisfy a woman.

4" all the way, the boom tube at 8x2 outlet is the same surface area as a 4" round tube. Also, there are future expansion plans for a loud valve or an electric cutout. At 600ish wheel whorespowers it is probably overkill... but, I am also a child at heart.

Back to functional work... the kind where I don't have to grind welds. Patched the last of the holes needed to get the car through certification. Gotta slap some POR-15 and seam sealer on it.

What a journey. But, a huge win.

Nice work on the patch panel pieces. Fit is spot on from the images 👍

Thanks, I've learned a bunch about metal shaping over the last few years. Shame they're gonna get cut out for a roll bar down the line.

But, the doors shut nicer now.
