Way more expensive than what seems justified. But, I can't roll around on a stack of adapters, spacers, and washers on the front of the car.

I will need to get back at this car soon... but, I am still disappointed at it. Me. The process.
Just keep swimming brother.

I run ARP studs and slip on spacers so I can quickly and easily adjust track width on the Camaro. I wouldn't do that on my dually, but for a car as hack as slip on spacers seem they work. All the guys in my class run this way, so sample size of around 80 cars nationally.

That's what I have on the TBSS. The front of the Monte right now is a billet 1/4" spacer, a 1.5" adapter, and a generic cast parts store 5/16" spacer... sketchy.

Hence these hub-centric jobbies. When the LS1 front brake conversion happens we'll be at close to 2.25". Perfecto.

Agreed.... Much better vs. the Stack.

To be clear I never drove on that. This is an aesthetic upgrade forced by the tie rod hitting the wheel since the drop spindles went on.

At the 5 min mark he touches on one of my biggest worries: making the car not what I want it to be due to self-inflicted mission creep. Perfection is problematic.

The risk of me ruining this car is real.

But changing direction 2 or three times in a build is fun...

Finished tweaking on the HellKitty and got the Monte back on the operating table. I have a bunch of little things I want to address before I start driving the piss out of the car this Summer.

As you can see the boom tube was designed to allow for lifting/jacking.

Found my second wind yesterday and decided to start swapping out the springs. On chopped springs the car used to sit around 24.5" ground to fender lip. However the 2" drop spindles and 5660s only netted 26". Boooo! These are a set of Belltech 4200s (found a faint label/part number while cleaning them), a 1" drop for a S10. The wire diameter is the same .750" as the 5660s, but are missing a coil.

We should see a marked improvement.
