Did a little tedious work after getting the transmission back where it belongs. Mostly protecting hoses and cables from chaffing. But, I also spent what felt like forever hooking the shifter cable up. This thing is pretty much good to good mechanically now.

Reworked the driveshaft loop, gave it a crown and stretched it about 1/2" with the metal hot snot gun. Not perfect, but better than not running one. Noticed the driveshaft is about 1/2" too short now too... Hmm guess that's what happens when you don't set the engine back. It is engaged fine, but will need some attention - car will need a billet slip yoke anyway.

Repurposed a transmission dipstick tube bracket to support the shifter cable. Good enough.

So there ya go. Running gear installed. Just need the snow to f*ck off and then I can make cool guy driving videos too.

Took a bit of time to chase the rest (?) of the leaks around the car. Always a treat. And then started it out of:

Jealousy
Spite
Boredom
Enthusiasm
Rage
Inadequacy

No, you are over-compensating.

Fortunately it didn't fly off the wheel cribs into the Hellcat. With all the exhaust leaks fixed it sounds like a boat - which is appropriate since it has a boat muffler on it. I'll top it off with some coolant later this week, get it up to temp, and see if it explodes.

Now I remember. To be fair, most of the 90's are a blur to me. 80's also. Young and dumb and full of ....
Hope you weren't the one full of it
