Akron, Oh.
Hey all! I've been getting everything lined up to drop in this 383. I got a jegster crossmember for the 700r4 and was wondering if anyone knows what type of bolts are used for bolting that up to the frame?

grade 8 seems excessive no? not that it hurts but i didnt think it was a big stress point, especially with a poly bushing

it's actually higher stress with the poly bushing since it's puts more pressure on the cross member....

So grade 8 bolts and nuts? I didn't see anywhere where the bolts would fasten into.

I just reused the stock crossmember bolts for now on my jegster crossmember.

The vehicle's crossmember was already removed when I got it. So I'm unsure as to how it bolts up.

It sits on top of the frame extensions on each side...the frame extensions have large holes on the bottom plate so you can get a socket in there
