Does the ecm control the cruise at all? Everything under the dash is still there, all I did was remove the ecm and the cruise pod bracket. It's an 85 so it doesnt have that ugly *ss setup on the fender.
Idle up solenoid on the carb. Little plunger opens throttle a bit when AC is turned on.I believe the ECM does have a small connection and function regarding the AC. Although I have not examined the binary file (programming) for an '85 G-body, I have looked into the binary file for a '92 S-10 and the ECM does increase the idle RPMs whenever the AC is turned on. So, that raises the question: how does a non-ECM vehicle with AC make this adjustment?
The cruise or idle up solenoid?Yes, it is supposed to be the ground at the speed sensor in the dash, the black and yellow wire I believe.
