CURRENT 6.0/4l80E swap parts = $$$$

Got the engine out. For such a huge truck it sure had a shoehorned in engine. It was tight. There were only 2 plastic clips on the firewall broken and 1 very stubborn motor mount bolt. I had to take the intake off to get to the top bolts on the transmission. I had planned on putting the engine on the stand but had a potential buyer for the truck stop by. he was partially deaf but that didn't seem to affect his voice box. Dude talked so much I had to run him off so I could go see the guy about my harness/ECM. The potential buyer wants me to find an engine and install it for him! I couldn't help but laugh because my 6.0 was still on the hoist in the garage. I told him if he brought my an LY6 I would install it for $500. He didn't hesitate and said yes. Not holding the truck for the guy though. It is so weird that when the truck was complete I got a decent number of calls but now that it is a roller I have been bombarded with calls. Drove the MCSS to see the harness builder. My friend who is helping (doing most of the work) me do the swap came with me. He just finished doing a LM4/4;80 swap in an 84 Regal. The LM4 is bored to 408 with head work, cam, LS2 (I think) intake. A very expensive exhaust with hooker headers. My swap will be very similar to the one he just did. On the way back home I let my buddy drive the MCSS. He likes it a lot with the 355/TH350 and I think he is almost as excited as I am to finish my swap. He wants to see a race.

Found out yesterday that the Gen 3 setup I chose will not allow me to use DBW. That's ok. Less work in the long run not changing the gas pedal. Going to get a truck cable and a throttle body at the junk yard, maybe. There are only 2 yards close by and they are kind of limited. Might upgrade my fuel injectors. Nothing crazy, better than stock. Are the LS3 40lb injectors compatible with the truck intake?

Intake yes, wiring no. Different electrical connector, but it's simple to get an adapter to go from Multec 2 to EV6.

Is your throttle body mounted with 3 or 4 bolts? If 3, let me know...I have two DBC throttle bodies that I'll let go for the price of one.

I'll check in a minute. After a little more research I found the LS3 injectors are shorter. What about the L96 injectors? L96 is hybrid and my LY6 is not.

I wanna say ICT or similar sells an injector spacer that takes up the gap. I'm running LS1 injectors on my Holley intake, so I'm not much help there.
