Warr performance and Snake Eater Performance also sell decent 4 bolt DBC throttle bodies. I used a Holley throttle cable bracket behind mine and it worked pretty slick. I'm running a L92 top end on my LQ4.
I don't have to change to a 3bolt setup for my TB, right? I can use any 4 bolt DBC TB that will fit my LY6 intake? Even though I am using a Gen 3 ecm & harness?

Correct. The ECM just needs a compatable TPS and IAC. My TB took the stock TPS and IAC from a 3 bolt TB. It's pretty much a clone of a WARR or SEP TB.

That will work, I would disassemble it and make sure the throttle blade screws are loctited and staked, as well as checking the fit of the throttle shaft in the bearings. The cheaper Chinese ones have some QC problems. Also I would assume that IAC and TPS are lower quality, just hit a junkyard and grab some spares off a truck. Easy fix.

I just picked that pic because it shows all components. I'll go US made or OEM.

There are no OEM 4 bolt DBC TB, not that I know of anyway.

You can go import, just pick one that has brand quality. WARR has a good reputation and stands behind their products as does Snake Eater. I went with Grassroots Performance, it was a quality unit that had good QC, cost a couple bucks more but was still way less than a Holley or Nick William's unit.

Been a helluva week. Finally got the engine on the stand today. There were 2 exhaust bolts already broken off and I broke 1 more. Everything looks good. No worn out parts on the top end so I will replace the cam and valvetrain. Going to take the heads to machine shop to tap the exhaust bolts, clean and test them and install the new parts. Haven't taken the oil pan off yet. Pretty happy with the condition of my engine.

Took the heads to the speed shop. Cleaning, light surfacing of the head to insure it is true. Light head porting and valve job just to insure true. Everything is going to be new except the rockers. Rocker replacement only if there is a problem found. Getting the BTR trunnion kit -w- needle bearings for $115. Get the heads back in a week.

You're brave going with the needle bearings! Too many reports of failures. The bronze bushings are worth the extra loot.
