I am still going with the Holley Sniper, but, based on the advice and experience from members here and discussions with my tuner I am going to go with the 92mm unit. When I take the car for the street tune he indicated it would take a few hours to dial it in. I really do make an effort to do function over looks. The truck intake is just so darn ugly. That is one component where originally I thought I could get past the ugliness because I know it was very effective. Turns out I can't overlook the ugliness and willingly replace it with the shiny new Sniper. I appreciate every ones input. Another positive is I already have a new 92mm TB.
That's why I still have the truck intake downstairs. I thought I could get over it, even found a cover, but just couldn't especially knowing I'm gonna show my Cutlass.

If you get it on a dyno post the numbers. I'd love to be wrong as I will eventually upgrade out of my truck intake. I do think you are hard pressed to beat a holley mid or high ram though, they seem to be the best investment.

Ordered: Holley header back exhaust system, flex plate, oil pan gasket, Holley Sniper Hi-Ram 92MM, Hooker trans adapter bracket for 4l80, Jeg's blue wheel plugs. That should be everything I need to install my engine/trans except the drive shaft. Once I get the 355/350 out I can fab up the transmission and measure. A lot of parts consuming space in the garage. Now I gotta start putting it all together.

I'm not planning on doing a dyno run at the moment. Maybe after logging a couple hundred miles or in the spring. I'm not building a race car and I really don't care what my "numbers" are. However, if there is another 30-40 hp hiding that dyno tuning would find, I would do that. With all the time, effort and $$$$ I am investing I want to get everything out of the 6.0. Like most people who have hot rods the initial build is just that, the 1st variation of what is envisioned. I want to get it right the 1st time but will make changes and tweak to "get it right".

I was thinking more just the results with the intake. I would be curious about how the power curve looks with the Sniper.

I think you'll find more power driving it around a while and watching the AFR. Then, stick it on the dyno, or better yet, make a few passes on the strip and run the numbers. That's so much more fun (& accurate, I think) than watching somebody strap your shirt to a roller.

I reread my post about a Dyno run. I guess I will do it. Just not right away. I had a Road Glide that I hopped up. I had it put on a Dyno and found 8 hp and I believe it was 5 tq. Couldn't tell a difference and I was out a couple hundred dollars. The closest LS tuning Wizard is about 2 hours from me so it would be a whole day of traveling and watching some guy beat on my car. All for maybe getting some usable power and out $350.00 plus gas.
