Pick of the TB issue. I had to file down the throttle arm where the cable mounts on mine to clear the intake, just friggin barely though.
Personally, I don't like how the intake incorporates the bungs, looks like one of those "ah crap we forgot, hey grab the welder!"

Couple of minor, irritating issues. I don't believe a new but same part will fix it. I'll have to find out after the holiday.

I wouldn't grind the intake. I'd Grind that little flange off the head. Do the intake bolts line up?
Why would you grind the head instead of the intake?

Large chunk of aluminum and that part is unnecessary to the functionality of the head. You can screw it up pretty bad and still be ok. The head is likely far cheaper to replace than that intake too.
and no powder coating.

We actually had this convo yesterday in the garage. It does make sense to take the metal off the head. Never know. The replacement head may fit perfect. I thought about the TB problem last nite and realized I don't have a cable bracket. Remedied that this morning. I believe the bracket and 2 gaskets will be enough to clear the TB arm.
EDIT: wonder if that was how it was engineered?
