The only mechanical gauges that I will be using is the oil and temp. Everything will be electric.

ohh man you need to get a mechanical volt guage. they are amazing. lol

Lol, I bet there easy as hell to install too.

Mechanical tachs are the best, little gnome running circles inside it, more electric you zap his *ss with the more revolutions he runs ha

I started making my panel for my gauges this week and its coming out easier that I thought. Using cardboard as a template
I took off the stick on trimming from the bezel and used that to trace over the cardboard.

my holes are traced out now.

Here I have my template placed in the bezel to see how it fits.

I have the holes cut out of the cardboard and more test fitting.

You can't over rev a tachometer bud  Something probably came loose or the gauge just failed.

When I started to trim the bezel I cut some tabs on each corner so I could mount the panel to the bezel when I'm done.

Lol   I used some 3m 2" sanding discs to make my 2 5/8" holes and a plastic cup for the speedo and tach.

The aluminum panel is now ready to be cut and trimmed.

Thanks JBreu, You know I have seen a wire set that painless makes for the gauges and I did'nt want to spend the money on it so I made my own. I'll have some pics of the wiring once I get it zip tied nice and neat.

The aluminum panel has been cut, trimmed and fits nicely. All of the gauges are in except for the tach(waiting on the post office to drop it off :( ) and the leds for the blinkers, hi beam, and the brake warning light are in as well.
