Diagnosing vibration

Well this week when im not working on trains I will have a chance to fix the crossmember and HOPEFULLY that is the culprit. If not I will jack it up and check out the flex plate while its running. If I gotta pull this transmission again I will send it out and have it looked at to ease my mind. Im paranoid when it comes to this car. I cant take it out of the garage without worrying about a lug nut that came loose or something stupid like that!

If you remove the bolts for the converter and slide it back you can start the engine to if the vibration is still there it's not the transmission. If the vibration is still there see if it goes away at higher rpms. You can also take off the belts to see if any components are causing a viabration

any updates?
Actually yea I got the new frame extension made up and welded in but because of complications with my brother's car that's parked behind mine in the garage I haven't had a chance to get it out and road test it. Im gonna get some fuel today after work and at least start it up to see if the vibration is still there in park. I raised the crossmember probably 1-1 1/4" of an inch thats how much the original one flexed.

Well so much for an update. On the way home from work I sheared the end off of the brand new double adjustable track bar on my truck. How in the **** it happened is beyond me but now I gotta spend another couple hundred on another one. That will be the priority for the time being unfortunately. I swear I could have engineered a front suspension better than Dodge in the 90s.

That sucks, no warranty on that part?
Not sure. I bought it in February but just recently installed it. Gonna call Summit today and hopefully they send me another one.

Well I got the car out today and put some miles on it. I think the vibration for the most part is gone but this thing shakes and rattles so bad its hard to tell. I guess solid engine mounts and solid body mounts will do that. The bad news is that the car is running so rich that it smokes and falls on its face under heavy throttle from a stop. My fuel pressure is around 7psi and according to my carb builder needs to be around 4-5psi. My regulator is adjusted all the way out and thats all it will go down to. I called Holley and they said to send it back for a replacement. Im not sure if I should get the same 4.5psi-9psi regulator or go with a 1.5psi-25psi one....
