excellent information. thank you. this will help me when i put my l99 into my 79 cutlass wagon.I used a 1993 astro 4.3 sender. I got this one on closeout for $25 from rock auto.
Yeah the AN tube adapters are in the mail, i will put it on today when it shows up from summit.
Only note is that in order for the sender to fit I had to bend the sock over and basically pop the level sender float half way off to get it through the hole. Once the pump was in I could pull the hanger up more and clip the hanger back into the plastic tabs and then it went in.
I also decided the big 3/4" vent is going to get plugged and the 1/4" tube will get a vacuum line to near the filler neck. It looks like there was some type of check valve or mini charcoal canister there so I can use that to relieve some of the pressure in the tank.
