This appeared over night at the used car lot across the street from our shop. I've never seen anything like it and I suspect it could be a home made job. Did they make any Monte Rag Tops?
Those pictures look much better than that other thing. Just think how many hours someone spent on that
removing the top usually seals the deal for me too..I've seen a few done, and they almost always look terrible. That Monte Turna posted looks pretty good IMHO. I saw one at a giant car show in Penticton, was a bright yellow Monte, 78-80 IIRC, and it was a really nice job. Never saw it with the top up, if it even had a top, but that's usually the deal-breaker
