So i'm contemplating gettin rid of the mechanical fan and replacing it with a electric fan out of a mid 90's taurus. My one question is where do i find a hold down for the radiator? Currently the big *ss fan shroud holds the top of the radiator. What have those who have done this conversion done to solve this problem?

Try to find an upper rad support from either a turbo Buick, or a Cutlass with the 307 engine. On these cars, either the shroud is a separate piece, or there is an electric fan bolted to the upper rad support. I believe that there are other threads on this subject both on this forum, and on MonteCarloSS.com. Good luck.
