Finally found the wheels I'm going to get...

How do you fit an 11" wide rim in the back of a Olds without cutting anything? I have 17x11's in the back of mine and had to do a pretty serious frame notch to make them fit and still sit within the wheel well.

GN's typically have a bit more room in the wheel wells compared to the Cutlass but guys still notch the frames to fit anything larger than a 10" wide rim.

In my opinion, those GN's in a few posts back need to be lowered more.

I have seen one Cutlass with 22" rims that looked absolutely wicked but never found out what it was that he did to get them like that. I have a feeling it was on air bags and only looked like that when he was parked.

This isn't the best example, a car with 640 hp that gets 11.3?? I mean it's great, but there's fullsize trucks running those times with that much power. It'd have better handling and be quicker with 15-18" wheels with the right tires

Yeah, but the ZR1 isn't setup to be a 1/4 mile drag car either. This is a car that ran a 7:26 lap at the Nurburgring in Germany. Put one of those trucks on the Nurburgring and see if they could do that. 😉

All I can say is WoW..... Some of you have very closed minds.....

I rode 275/25/24's for over a year, even drove from Atlanta to Dallas and back with no issues.. Myrtle beach as well. My car wasant lifted, cut, altered or anything... Full stereo and all....

So now I have a Regal and I plan to run 22'z as well.... 22x9 front, 22x10.5 rear...

I actually look at stock MC'z, SS'z, and Regals and especially Grand Nationals like the wheels are wayyyyy to small... Industry standard is now an 18 and larger for SUV's... Very rear do you find a wheel smaller unless it's a compact car.

Yeah JAYO, we get lots of hate here. All of the dudes hating aren't even old heads. But it's whatever, I'm still putting the 26s on my Cutlass.

And for those who really wanna know, my overall wheel & tire diameter is 31 inches, my car has no lift kit on it, I've upgraded my factory brakes, and I got way more than enough power to move my wheels.

Get the right offset

Regals have the biggest wheel wells on the G-Body platform. That's why I want one.

Those GNs look perfect to me. Any lower they would probably scrub.

22s are small, all you have to get is the right tire size to make them fit right. It may have been bags, but I seriously doubt it.

you don't get lots of hate in here and you shouldn't take comments on your car so personal.....as far as I'm concerned it's ridiculous to put a car on stilts and for those who think the car can still handle do a little research on how raising the center of gravity affects a car.. :blam:

Once again your talking about lifted cars......

The objective is to go as low as possible without rubbing....Period! Or atleast for me. 😀

as low as possible without rubbing is still raising the car....if you know anything about the geometry of a car and had any knowledge of setting a car up to handle you know better than to try to defend it. Another thing with those wheels is that with the size of the wheel I'd like to see how much that wheel flexes going around a corner...

Okay man... Whatever you say..

I guess I have no knowledge of plus sizing wheels although I have built about 5 or more and they seem to make there way into magazines.

As far as flex Im a little confused how a wider track would cause far more flex then a skinny stock wheel.

some of this stuff is going right over my head. i dont see why you guys are arguing about what kinda wheels he likes on his car, and going into scientific explanations of how its not gonna work. it is, 22s are not big at all i could see if he was putting some 30" rims on it but that would work too if he has the bank for it. and about the performance platform thing he's just saving money that he would have bought into anyway (8.5 posi, sport suspension etc). lastly he has a plan for the total car not just the wheels. you could ride him all day if he just bought a cutlass base and spend 8g's lifting it and spent a stack on some chromes but didnt touch the drivetrain at all. there would be no fun in driving a donk if there wasnt a powerful engine and some real loud pipes behind it to push the damn thing, Lastly i like my cutlass on its 14" chevy mags but i admire and appreciate the donks and hot rods alike because even though the wheels may be different we all have a common dream of having a car that we put time into and enjoy, :lightsab:

i wanna get these in 15x8 all arounds w/ tall rear tires and sort front tires.
