Spark plugs and wires. A clapped out 350 will run on 5 cylinders, but power and economy is (how do I put this nicely?) compromised.

Wheels and tires on mine, followed immediately by a Hurst Competition Plus four speed shifter. Shortly thereafter blown apart for a heart transplant.

1997--1983 El Camino 15x7 Chevy rallys, 235/60 BFG's

I guess mine was putting the wheels off the 67 on the Bonne to take it to OC for Cruisin'. I had to put 1/4" spacers on, the tires were flat spotted, vibrated like hell, and rubbed. But it looked cool with chrome SS1s and 275/60's on the back! 😎

day 1. Hot august day around 100 deg in 1991. 1980 Cutlass. Black car with no working AC. In fact when I started it the compressor seized so I cut the belt. I popped the door panel and hot wired the power windows to go down as the switches were garbage then took it for a drive with the snow tires on back. Paid the man $500 and drove it 2 hours home with plates from another car.
Once home I sprayed undercoating over the CUTLASS he was so proud of painting by hand ( in bright red I may add ) on the air deflector under the rad. Then off to the local parts store HELP section for new window switches.

day 2, dad worked for Goodyear so I picked up a set of 4 "blem but not really blem if you know what I mean" Eagle ST RWL's for $50 each including mounting, balancing and road hazard warrenty at the Goodyear Go Centre as my first Mod.
Man I thought I was on top of the world that day ! Clapped out suspension, 3 blown speakers, wires hanging out, but I had wheels again !!!

Parted out the smashed-up '80 wagon and transferred the front bumper, trailer receiver hitch, 5-spoke 14" rally rims and the '80 header panel, grille, hood ornament and trim to the '83 replacement wagon. Had to find one new rim to replace the one the drunk bent when he can-opener'd the whole side of the '80. The parts-store rattle-can touchup paint was a really good match - it looked like it belonged except for the extra turn signals in the fenders.

So much more of that car I now wish I had kept...

81 Monte in 93 was either putting in a new cassette deck or a new Edelbrock performer intake.
