Waiting for final buffing and assembly:

The flat black on the gloss green makes a nice contrast -- at least I think so:

Kinda reminds me of a fat guy in a bowling shirt:

Love the restore on those vintage fridges. The Frigidaire one looks very Deco with the black and silver. It sort of has a piano black look to it and the Nash has that 1950's look to it.

Those old fridges are more reliable then the newer stuff. My grandparents on my father's side had two in their basement that had been in that house since it was built in the 1940's. Never a lick of trouble with them. My grandparents on my mother's side had one in their basement(Pap Pap used to store beer in it) that fridge cause no trouble at all.

By contrast growing I remember those "new fangled" fridges my folks had were good for about 10 years before they started having issues

Good job

Mostly put back together:

On the Kelvinator, I can't put the inside of the door back together until the handle is screwed back on. I need to clean/fix the handles first. Thinking about wrapping them in leather. The Frigidaire is pretty much done -- just one more final detail.

That's an awesome job. How did you get the racks looking that good, did you powder coat them?

Just an SOS pad on the Kelvinator. Hoped the same would be enough on the Frigidaire but no such luck. I had to paint them with some bumper chrome paint.
