So my 1984 Monte Carlo Ss is being painted and what not. My guy tells me I should replace the weather stripping around the front and rear windshield. I tired searching for it online but I’m having an extremely hard time finding it. Does anybody know the part numbers or can point me in the right direction???

They don't use weather stripping like the doors or trunk. You need to get them "re-sealed."

Unless I'm wrong, the Monte SS should have a chrome/black trim that is removable unless someone has done a lot of work and flushed the glass.

They could be referring to the the black plastic that goes around the windshield under the the windshield trim, those tend to deteriorate and break off over time

The front and rear windshields are glued in place directy to the metal with urethane adhesive, no rubber seals. The only ways they can leak is if they were either installed incorrectly, the glass is badly cracked, or there is a rust hole or tear in the windshield frame. However, the HVAC housing, and several sheet metal seams on the firewall can also leak. Finding and fixing sheet metal leaks on the firewall can be a major job.
