You so right.. so now I have to find a buyer for the regalThe Monte probably has a better ratio steering box and the vinyl top on the Regal is a ticking time bomb.
I mean she looks like a wonderfully straight car and I actually do like that margarine/butter color, but the Monte SS is a good platform and I like them. (I'm biased, despite owning only a Regal. lol)
Plus I like the "whole-*ss one thing" angle.
For example: A new set of wheels and tires for the Regal could instead be an intake and headers for the Monte.
Instead of two sets of new springs and shocks, it could be one set of springs and shocks and a go-kart for your daughter! 😀
Build the Regal of course!!! (no bias at all.... 😉)Hey I'm new here my name is charlie and I'm trying to decide which g body to build. I have a 1986 regal and 86 monte ss. One has to go.
Go with the car in the best shape, with the best equipment (F41 suspension, gauges, bucket seats) if you have to choose between the two.
Welcome Charlie; You seem to have a quality problem, 2 "G" cars! And that's a Good kind a problem. As many here have a space problem! Put 90% of your effort into One project & when it is 90% done start thinking about the next project. If ya get too many projects started none seem to ever get done. Not that a hobby car is ever done. I've been working on mine for 38 years and I'm getting closer to done. Me not the car! Enjoy, Ole Bob.
