My old Technics [spell check Techniques] still works but has occasional issues. I may have to upgrade after 35 years. I did have it in the shop once like 25 years ago though. Wish everything else I've bought was that reliable?

Sadly, there may be some here that thought you got a new body off rotisserie . . . what's a turntable?

Although, previous discussions on other matters I think shows a somewhat . . . er, uh . . . well used high mileage crowd here?

Nice turntable, Paul.
I still have my old Technics unit which still works like a charm....and of course I still play old vinyl on it. Long live rock and roll.
I had an old Empire direct drive unit which I should have never given up.

They say vinyl is making a comeback...but much of the music is not my taste.

I bought my son one of those $100 USB output turntables so he could convert all my LP's to digital. He was just sitting in his computer room playing video games, so I figured he could do it in his spare time.

Next thing I know he goes and sees "Straight Outta Compton" with his high school friends and is looking for Technics 1200's on CL to learn to Scratch DJ. He's upgraded a couple time since then and just sold the T1200's while he was back in Dallas for spring break for $200 more than he paid for them.

2 years after I buy him a $100 USB turntable he's a College freshman who never had a real job in his life making $500 every weekend DJing Clubs, formals and weddings and my LP's still sit in the closet unconverted.

Still love the old vinyl. Have a Sony TT. Other than ease of use, 8 tracks SUCKED. Then cassettes got misplaced to easy. The younger gen doesn't have a clue what we went through to listen to the greatest music EVER made. Late 50s 60s most of the 70s
