The hammertone paint idea was a fail. I sprayed one side and to the person that does not know A/G bodies, it looks like fish eyed paint which is exactly what hammertone is/does. I'll strip it and go with a silver.

I went to Lowes and Walmart and did not see any galvanized look spray paint. Where do I get it from?
This is just great. My wife calls to tell me her sister is coming this weekend. CRAP! The guest bedroom is completely packed with parts from this car and my 55. Now it will take half the day to move it into the shed. I'm going to finish my header panel project that I've already started on outside though

Lowes should have it in Rustoleum #V2185838. My local store has had it in the past but that doesn't mean yours does.

The Calais grilles are in (mock up). I made some L brackets and pop riveted them to the header panel. Had to bevel the edges on the ends for the grilles to lay in. They don't completely lay on the header. They have a very thin gap that I'm OK with. I love the look and it looks completely stock.
