Went to pick up a brand new ac condenser and after pulling it out of the box, it looks like its been beat to hell. Had them order me another one. I start to replace the outer door felt strips and noticed they are different than the ones I modified to fit in the rear quarter. Same part number too. Some days go good and others make me want to play Call of Duty so I can shoot things. Lol

My week has flew by. Did not get nearly as far as I wanted. Kinda sucks. On the bright side, I did get my quarter windows installed and the body panels body worked and primed. These were big obstacles. Done lots of other tid bits too.

I know it frustrating to not get as far as you had planned, but you're doing an awesome job. I agree with the others. There are definitely going to be some awards in your future. Keep up the good work and the updates.

We are already back so I actually get tomorrow to work on the Salon. Hopefully no rain. Since I've made it over the hump, I really am staying excited to finish it this time. I'm going to be proud of this car and will probably drive the living sh*t out of it. Lol

I sprayed some dash parts with my SEM custom mix and started assembly. After the sanding and buffing of the cluster lens, it looks brand new. I repainted the back panel and trip reset knob to look new again.

I never posted a pic of my steering column after taking it apart and rebuilding it. New tumbler and polished the turn signal stalk and tilt lever. I am a detail freak and things have to look crisp especially the interior where lots of the parts get wear.

I completely disassembled two glove box assemblies. My original plastic liner had two cracks and there was a ding in the door. I used my original lock knob so the key would match. I painted all the screws, latch, and door separately so it will be crisp. I'll assemble tonight in the comfort of the house air conditioning. lol

I'm going to hopefully spray body color on my parts this weekend. Real worried about matching since the paint was so transparent. I had bought Trim Parts roof rail seals and they are OK but went ahead and ordered Soffseal to see how they are. I may go ahead and order a set of Metro too. When I was restoring G bodies pretty regularly about 10 to 15 years ago, I liked either soffseal or Metro. After my crappy memory, I can't remember. I realize nothing beats GM but the last time I checked on prices, they were stupid. I need to try to put back together my headliner board that the wind picked up and carried off. It's in about 6 pieces. I'm going to tape it together on the material side and spray glue down some thin material. When the spray glue dries, I'm going to mix up fiberglass resin and completely coat the material. Should make it rigid again. Then, I'll remove the tape and spray glue the side that the headliner material goes on. Then put on my new headliner material. Then I get to try to find an upholstery shop that can recover my sun visors. I used to have a place in Pryor OK that done G Body sun visors for me. They always turned out pretty good but they went out of business. I had bought several yards of headliner material to do my headliner and sunvisors so they match.

Had family here yesterday and most of today so not much work on the Salon. I went to my shed and drug in a passenger side front bucket seat. I completely disassembled it. I ran a hot bath and poured in Tide, Clorox, and color safe bleach. I submerged the foam bottom and used my hands to smoosh it all over. Kinda like massaging it. I cannot believe what come out
