the devil is in the details, keep up the hellish work!:notworthy:

I'm really digging all the little items that you're incorporating into the build, cool enough for the untrained eye, but subtle enough that those in the know have to take several looks to know it's not entirely stock!

Here is half of one of the tiny cable clamps I was talking about. Had to cut and modify a pair of pliers to crimp them. I reassembled on the bed to not scratch the fresh painted mirror and in case I dropped a clamp halve. Had bifocals on to do this. It's a good thing I was a jeweler for a few years. Lol

Surgery on remote mirror guts - glad that did not throw you for a loupe.

Coming along very nicely Robert! I really like the look of the aero mirrors on the car...

Here is an expensive under hood detail I had to have with my "original" appearing theme on the car. I bought an AC Delco side post battery but its 800cca. It fills the new GM battery tray completely up but the hold down still fits. The parts guy at my local Chevrolet dealership was very helpful until I had to pull out the wallet. LOL.

I had hog ringed my new seat covers on my rear seat probably 2 years ago. The seat back foam is saggy where two passengers backs would be. I removed the cover and welded two pieces of sheet metal in the sunk square area. I then used an electric knife and cut two squares of dense foam out that fit in the factory foam area. I spray glued the foams together. I wire wheeled my seat frame and painted it flat black with spray paint. After hog ringing it back on, it's more comfortable and there's no giant dips in the two sides.

I finally found some flex carpet for my rear deck panel that is very close to my floor carpet. My rear deck panel is in good shape except two little squares broken out for the speakers. It originally is just painted cardboard like material. I wanted to cover it in carpet to hide the missing squares but mainly to update it like 80's model G bodys

The rear seat repair looks great. Its a good idea on how to fix a sagging seat.
I was out and about today, and saw a car like yours. I passed it going in the opposite direction, so I couldn't tell much, but it was an aeroback 442, in the black and gold colour scheme. It looked really good.

It has rained a few days so did not get anything done but play Call of Duty, watch movies, and sleep. Lol. I needed a break and time to recharge the batteries. Today I have started repairing the sand scratches in the deck lid. I also found a few rust pits in my core support in the lower area close to the battery. Since that section will be visible, I blasted the pits and applied self etching primer. I'll putty them in an hour or so. I bought a quart of black base and a quart of matte clear for the core support.
