I also hope that all you guys and gals are having a great holiday!! Please everyone stay safe.

Scott,
Thanks for sharing the pics of the hydros. I love wooden boats. I'm sure they sound out of this world when they're they're out there running. I used to enjoy watching the alcohol running outboards. They had a sound of their own....and fast.
I also liked going to the vintage boat shows. There was a few old inboard hydros, crackerboxes, etc....cool stuff. I like the small 4-banger powered hydros...I think one of classes was 44 cu in which ran Crosley engines, which were also popular in small sprint cars.
Here is the other one Jack. This was several years back when my brother and i went to a race in OH that was mainly small boats. The old guy in this pic didn't have anybody to help launch or load his boat, so we helped him for the weekend.
If you notice, it's the same boat as in the pic i posted earlier.

Scott,
Thanks for indulging me on the topic. So you guys ended up being this old guy's pit crew, huh? That must have been fun and a memorable experience. What's cool is that you have pics from that time. I wish we had taken more pictures...but we were like 17-18 yrs old.
I still retain good memories of those days.

We had 10.6-11' A-B class runabouts with Mercury KG7-H, 20-H, KG4-H engines. Also a C-D class hydroplane with a Mk 55-H. They were fun.
I'll have to dig up whatever pictures I have and post them. My photography skills back then weren't the greatest.
