The 98-02 Camaro brakes are not really the same as the Blazer set up. My original post was asking if anyone had made their parking brakes functional with the Blazer set up. I was able to make mine work by modifying the 2 rear cables and used all of the OEM brackets and mounting with no additional modifications.Yes; I used the e-brake cable brackets from a 2002 Camaro which is the system I am using, cut as shown and attached to the bump stop bracket. Used the original cable bracket using the seat belt bot as attaching hardware by the drive shaft. Had to cut and the Camaro cables to proper length while using the original front cable also cut to length. Took a lot of mental figuring out and trail and error bracket and cable cutting to get the right length.
Mind snapping a few pictures of the caliper in relation to the frame? I just picked up the blazer rear disc for a 2wd blazer and it almost like the caliper will hit the frame.. plus Ill to cut the axle flange ALOT to make the bracket fit..Left rear wheel
My 2 wheel drive calipers are no where near the frame. If sounds like you have a 4 wheel drive rear.Mind snapping a few pictures of the caliper in relation to the frame? Came off a 1999 2wd blazer, pulled them myself at the LKQ yesterday...My 2 wheel drive calipers are no where near the frame. If sounds like you have a 4 wheel drive rear.
