Headers and crossmember

I trimmed down the upper part of the motor mount, the header now fits on BUT the front tube has so much curve to it, I can't get even the shortest header bolt in. Any ideas. I actually have to put in a longer bolt to mount the lower a/c bracket with bolts 2 and 3.

If I understand correctly you may have to back out all the bolts and tighten each one a little at a time. That is the way my headers were, because the tubes were bigger.

I forgot to mention that I'm not sure about the AC bracket fitments as my car doesn't have it.

I've tried what you suggested even using longer bolts. Tomorrow I'll see if I can angle the header with no bolts in to see if I can get enough angle to start the #2. Would it be a bad move to elongate the hole with a drill or digrinder. The a/c bracket bolts on using longer bolts that came with the bracket Hooker said is needed to remount the big a/c compressor.

I can't get any bolt in the second hole, even with the header off.

Sounds like the threads are screwed up. Bolt should be a 3/8-16×3/4" or 1" long. Maybe shine a light into the bolt hole to see if something is stuck in there or cjase the threads.

Hth
I'm talking about the hole in the header not the head

Oh! Is the bolt head hitting the tube? Are you using regular hex head bolts? If so, maybe look into either ARP's since the head is smaller, or get some socket head cap screws.
I'm using stage 8s, they're heads are smaller than the Hooker bolts
