I wouldn't elongate the holes, I'm sure that isn't the first set of those headers sold so if that were a design problem everyone installing that model of header would have that issue. What is the part number of the headers?

It isn't just the head, it's such a sharp angle I can't get the shafts of the bolt through the header flangeI use the wedge lock header bolts, they never loosen

Part #2451-2HKR Hooker stainless steelI don't think it would be a problem with one hole. Sometimes the quality control isn't the best which is why some people have to dent tubes and others don't.
Yes, they're the same size as the stage 8sI can't see any complaints on those headers except from the idiots who are trying to install them on an F body. Did you try to bolts that came with the headers?
I called Hooker yesterday half an hour before they closed, they kept me on hold till they closed, then the line went dead, they didn't work today. I guess I'll just have to heat it and bump it in till the bolt can go through straight.Yes, they're the same size as the stage 8s
Header problem FINALLY SOLVED with a trip to my local Midas shop. The manager heat and beat the tube enough to get the bolt through..I finally got to talk a tech at Hooker, he said I obviously got a set that wasn't done for a/c . I made a set of headers for a past project that wasn't much more trouble than these were.I called Hooker yesterday half an hour before they closed, they kept me on hold till they closed, then the line went dead, they didn't work today.
