I so want a refurbished Sniper, but I think a welding machine is more prudent.

I never though about a refurbished Sniper so I'm glad you mentioned it. For a welder there arepeople who buy them just to do a few jobs or those who think they can weld and end up selling the welders off for way cheaper than what they paid for them.
I may have to hook my peepers into one of those refurb units when I get back to the Regal... half the price of new, and probably just as good... I keep looking at auctions for a good used welding unit, as I don't have a justifiable reason to drop a few grand on a new one. watched a few youtube vids where they've used an eastwood unit that's considerably cheaper....
