Didnt cut the cowl at all. Thats a factory AMD hood. The shop realized the issue after everything was painted. If you want the hood to open to the factory position, then you’ll have to cut the cowl further than you have already.
It sucks, but ……

I don't have a wagon, but I post some pics of a Glass-Tek on mine with the hood open and closed so you can see how much to cut it - if you're interested.Didnt cut the cowl at all. Thats a factory AMD hood. The shop realized the issue after everything was painted.
Thanks for the offer but I dont think Im cutting that hood. Its going to open up another can of worms. I put a piece of pipe under it to hold it up. any thoughts about running a shorter shock? Thanks for the offer but I don't think I'm cutting that hood. Its going to open up another can of worms. I put a piece of pipe under it to hold it up. LOL
I mentioned that on the previous page. Maybe a 10". Once I get the hood back on I'll take a measurement from ball to ball leaving some space for the scoop. What a pain in the butt. Im not even sure if the wiper arms will clear. I'll be pissed if I have to buy another hood. SMHany thoughts about running a shorter shock?
The shocks i have on my Cutlass I believe are 10" extended length. Yup, just checked, they're 10" which should give you enough clearance.I mentioned that on the previous page. Maybe a 10". Here’s some more pictures. The bolt the ratchet is on is where the lower ball goes. You can see in the other picture the rivet that has to be drilled out to remove. Finally the spring can be removed by unbolting the bottom bolt. Having a second person to help hold the hood up makes it much easier.More photos please.
Perhaps a couple of shots from the inside as well would be great. Are you using a ball and socket type post? If yes, then what size? And do you have the part number of what you're strut is?
Dang, I'm full of question lol. Almost like I want you to be the guinea pig 😉
