Hood ideas

I do remember a guy on here that had a burgundy GP and he hand made a scoop to look like a taller version of a 69' GTO hood.
I thought that looked pretty good on there.

The car does look good, some dated details but still a clean planned out build that makes the car. I will agree with the spoiler but in my opinion GP's are hard to match good spoilers due to the body lines. Now for the post bashing from that other forum, unnessary remarks. I know there are disagreement here, a few heated replies here, but wow on the hate. It proves this is one of the better forums with the friendlier members.

I totally agree. They jumped on him like fleas at a dog show, and with the exception of one or two, noone took him seriously.... there may be one or two here that are like that, but the rest of the crew is why I keep coming back here!

I remember him too... didn't some magazine or internet magazine run a feature on how he did it? we've lost a lot of members over the years that I've been here, that had really nice cars, or builds that were on the right path to being really nice.... brings to mind another GP owner that had cut the center section of the front bumper and joined the upper and lower grilles together, and capped off the bumper cuts to make it look factory...

I don't remember any feature on the burgundy GP but back when we all had photo galleries on here he did a step by step on how he did it.
And I think you a referring to ponticgp with the double grill and bumper cut out who is on here all the time.

I bought a turbo coup hood to get these out of it. I cut the GP hood to install them flush but no matter whatever I use to bond them the filler would always develop cracks so I junked the hood....

and this is front end of my GP with the modified bumper and two grills...

thanks, I luv the look of the split bumper on the Camaro so I sort of stole their idea.
Agreed on the split bumper camaro...one of the best looking designs in my opinion.
I just watched a video a couple days ago with a 73 cutlass 442 at swartz performance....they gave the grilles and bumper the same treatment. It looked pretty cool!
