I told myself I wouldn't comment on your threads any more because you ask for advise and if it isn't what you want to here ignore it. Dito Rktpwrd great words of wisdom. You don't want to put a $40.00 line lock on because it's too much (which I'm very happy your not) and yet you want to do a ZO6 upgrade $$$. I run the stock brake system in my Regal with good parts and have never had a problem. Engineers have spent a lot of time in development of the proportioning valve and I'm not going to second guess them. Take Rktpwrd's advice - I second it.
Here is the proper disc/drum proportioning valve that GM came up with in brass to replace the iron original that was in our cars. GM parts catalog list in group 4.690,GM p/n 25509419 / AC Delco p/n 172-1353. This installed on my frame with stainless lines.

It is also used on '80's B bodies with the bigger front brakes (11" rotors). This is in my opinion of the right part for the repair.
Inline Tube sells these in disc/drum & 4 wheel disc, for different models. They could have what is needed that don't require extra add on parts.

You know the old saying " You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink"
im saying when theres proof right infront of me vs your guys's opinion imma follow the facts. plus if you're worried about safety just know im only driving it without the new brakes to my house to get the new brakes, 30 minute drive on the highway with a speed limit of 60.

since our "opinions" are not worth any consideration why do you post questions on this forum?
because picking a master cylinder is an opinion and has no facts to say which one is better. ive said multiple times im sticking with the wilwood proportioning valve. and yes ive considered your opinions until i researched it even more with that link i just posted, ive had someone actually tell me that rotor size/brake pad size dosnt create any extra drag, it all depends on how many pistons you have.

remember when i wanted to put compression fittings on my brake lines and delete the rear brakes? i was close to go down that path, i even put compression fittings on my lines until i realized if i wanted to do anything serious i needed to re do all of the lines.

actually it important to match the diameter of the bore in the master to the calipers you are using. That is not an opinion, it is a fact.
