I remember a while back a vendor had the ability to check how many Pontiac Grand prix's were on the road to justify on making parts for them was viable... SO i'm wondering if anybody has access to see how many Grand nationals are still on the road?? and other models as well?

depends if when you say on the road you mean being driven or garage art.

not sure how accurate whatever number you come up with would be and the fact they have regal titles it might be impossible.

The G body is next in line after the A body and with the prices of the A bodies being out of reach for most people we'll see more and more G bodies on the market. That will entice manufacturers to make parts for theses cars. You can buy all the parts to build a 60's Chevy pick up truck from a catalog so give it some time for the G body.

I agree with Pontiacgp. There's no shortage of G bodies.....at least around here. In the going on 7 years I have had a G body I can tell you that the aftermarket support has come along a lot in those years alone. I can't imagine another 10 years or so. Certain things like aerocoupe/2+2 parts I don't think will ever be reproduced because of how many were made. Why spend tons of time and money developing a part when only 5k were even made in the first place? Maybe(hopefully) im wrong about that last part......especially since I own an aerocoupe lol!

I don't know of any way that you could even think to calculate what's remaining. I am sure that it is technically plausible to calculate how many cars are currently registered with current tags as all of those files in North America would be electronic. But getting all those agencies to talk to one another would never happen. Thinking of how many cars would be registered to owners but currently parked, stolen, cut up for track cars, derby cars, cars scrapped for parts would be mind boggling. For example I have the ownership for 2x vehicles that I cut up and took in for scrap metal as pieces years ago that are still technically registered to me but have been soup cans many times over by now.

Even if you do statistics they won't be very accurate for example my car is in storage long time it wouldn't come up as still existing anywhere b/c exp plates. Some GN's exist, but got exported out of the US too.

Whatever number you get will never be 100% correct but it might atleast give you an idea of how many may be out there.
