how to upgrade alternator

Ok guys my bracket is not lining up with the alternators bolt, and it way off with the stock bracket.. is there something im doing wrong? Is this alt set up only for driver side one belt pulley set up? Are they universal? Please chime in and post pics.. What am i doing wrong? It looks like the alt sit low and do i need a different bracket?

Looks like you have the wrong alternator. I believe you need one where the ears are at 12 O'clock and 6 O'clock.

Yeah friend, you got the 10-to-6 clock one...you need the 12-to-6 one...look at my post a few above this one and check out the one on E-Bay I mentioned, theres a link there...No matter whatyou go, you need the 12-6- one 8)

Yeah you needed to get one from the p/s friend..., they aren't interchangeable from side to side, the guts are the same, just the mounting points are different...

Thanks i guess i can just sell this to someone that has a one belt driver side set up, sine that 92 pick up had that iroc setup one belt.. I guess hit the yards again, thought i was on top of it.. Lol thanks guys...

Yea thats true i have i think 30 days to exchange, but i can only go on the weekends, and there are not to many to find..

Its ok. You can clock it yourself. Remove the housing screws and clock it differently, line holes up and put back together

I had to re-clock my CS130. I was able to turn the one half without taking it apart. However, I would suggest putting a paperclip
in the hole where the brushes are located to keep them from coming apart. If you had to pull the two halves apart, this measure would save a bit of frustration. Just a FYI.

Pic# 9 shows you where to place the wire, or paperclip to hold the brushes. Hope this helps you.
