Ok, I'm going crazy. Down to the hydraulic hook ups and i can't find my reservoir. I know i had one!!! I tore up every tool box, bag, and drawer looking for it. Argh!!!! And you guys know if i get another one, ............ Mine will turn up. :x
My grandfather always says....It'll be in the last place you look.

Hope it comes up soon.

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

when you have everything set up there is an easy way to bleed the system. Fill the reservoir up, grab a beer and have a few sips, push the clutch pedal slowly, have a few more sips of beer and watch the air bubbles come to the surface of the reservoir, repeat as often as necessary or until the case of beer is done... 😀

and if that is a Howe throw out bearing your using do not go by their installation instructions. They ask for an interference fit with a little bit of pressure on the pressure plate. Don't have the bearing pre-load the pressure plate. I set it up with one shim to have a slight pre-load and the clutch was slipping within a month. I took the shim out and there was no pre-load and it worked fine. You also need to adjust the travel of the pedal so it does not over extend the throw out bearing. I used an appliance adjuster thru the firewall and used a nut on each side of the firewall to adjust the stop. The pad on the adjuster is nice and big so it worked well.

Hello all, Well I went to my local pick-a-part and found a very good clutch reservoir off a 2000 saturn. These are the times I love GM. 8)

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

The Messed up part is after I did all this, I found out I had no fluid to put in the reservoir anywhere. I gave up after that. Lol Tomorrow is another day. I leak test and see if the lines hold up.

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

I used a 18" 3 an ss flex line from the master clutch and then a 3an to 4 an adapter with a 6" 4 an ss flex line to the hydraulic throw out bearing and another 6" 4 an ss flex line for the bleeder line...

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

do you mean these? It would be easier to use a SS flex line with those

I have those installed. I tried to make a 37 degree flare to mate with my hard lines. The flex hose is coming but for now,i want it connected outside the bellhousing. I'll be using these on the -3an fittings.
