Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

Ok I'm beat! Without a good 37 degree flaring tool, i cannot run my lines how I want. 😢 I'm ordering a SS -3an flex tube. Off hand, (without me getting to my car and measuring. my car is not here, its across town.) Does any one know the length I should use? the choices are, 21 inch and 30 inch. Thanks in advance.

I iave those Russell 3an adapters on the stock thowout bearing and master cylinder. And thanks i guessed 30iin, now im sure.

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

I was thinking 4 an cause all the ones we use in the race car are 4 and the Howe's I used was 4 an. I'm apparently out of the loop on the new cars so I never figured you could use the adapter in the throw out bearing...it might have saved me some money if I was up to date case the Howe throw out bearings are $180 up here in Canada

I was saving money also, My transmission came with the stock H T/O bearing and shifter from the salvage yard. So i made it work. But It was a hassle. I should have got a new one, bc now its leaking from the internal seal. 😢 I got one good disengagement and that was it. I'm seriously thinking of going your route. The only issue with that is finding a early bearing retainer. I haven't seen one yet. Everything is for the Mustang. Any ideas? I'm kinda lost.

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

Have you checked to see if you can get a seal kit for the throw out bearing you have? Another thing is is there was too much clearance or if the pedal travel was too great the bearing may have been over extended. If your looking for a Howe throw out bearing like I used this is it. ...

Thats the one i saw for 140. But finding a early stock bearing retainer to mount it is proving to be difficult. I'm probably gonna just replace the the stock bearing if i don't find a retainer.

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

What do you mean by early bearing retainer? I have 4 T5 WC's from the 3rd gen F body. If you want a bearing retainer from one of them let me know, I'll be happy to send you one. There are also steel aftermarket retainers that add strength to the casing.

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

I meant that since my T-5 is the last that GM used and was on a 4th gen F-body. It never had a traditional bearing retainer. So I'm weary that the older one fits correctly since i had to make so many mods. Thanks for the offer, i plan on getting another T-5 from a 3rd gen and that will use a Howe. Plus I'm curious to see the comparisons between them up close.
