3 months till I have a first sample.

I have just completed several proof sets of 81-85 Monte/Malibu/El Camino insert woodgrain kits. I have all the various woodgrain style correctly reproduced including the popular 85 SS style black woodgrain inserts. Similar material to GM and same woodgrain style. I am expanding into the other lines now and should have GP, Regal and Cutlass inserts available in a month. I expect a release date of Nov. 10th on the Monte style inserts if anybody is interested. There are many ways to order them depending on whether you have buckets/console, swapping an 81-up dash into a 78-80 car, etc. stuff like that. It's been a lot of detailed work to nail it but there are completed now. PM with questions....I'll post pics here soon.....

I have also been working one of my applique suppliers on this project for Olds specific inserts. Will they be an exact match to OEM? FYI...these are already available aftermarket but they don't match correctly and don't have the correct chrome border lines.

Toby, one thing i notice i havent found avaliable and i have even called gbodyparts about is A pillar gage pods for 4 door cars and in my case wagons. I was looking for a 3 gauge pod for my wagon and online it says the ones avaliable "fit all gbodys" but wagons and 4 door cars have different A pillar plastic. I for one would buy one and know a few other people with wagons and 4 door cars that would buy them to. Would sure beat the one i had to make by taking my old wagon pillar and cutting up a 3 gauge pillar from gbody parts and heating and reshaping it to fit (not sure if ill ever get it just right)

I did just that, took a 3 gauge for a GN (2 door), and cut and modified it, along with a stocker, with lots of fiberglass and texture, to create a presentable gauge pillar. The aftermarket ones are wavy and don't wrap around the pinch weld as it is. Heck, if aftermarket pillars were made in ABS plastic, it would have made my job easier. 😀

I noticed that with the 3 gauge pillar from gbodyparts it didn't wrap around at all and was really wavy, wouldn't have used It in my olds after seeing that anyway. Im not so sure my home made one will ever work very well by we will see. Hope we get some aftermarket support for wagons as they are really popular

I meant to just chime in with another product...I'll start a new thread on the topic. It's far more intricate of a process than anybody realizes and the original printing technique is all but abandoned.
